Like every family, the Baskerville's tried to keep their secrets to themselves; however, the tectonics of their family dynamics invariably caused cracks to form that let the light in and allowed their enmity and petty jealousies to bubble to the surface.
This is a portrait of the Baskerville family done by 3rd year George Brown College student Sam Pitcher. It is part of a project in my 3rd year Knowledge Design I and II courses that focuses on integrating the use of new technologies in a design and educational context. This semester we are creating a rich media Augmented Reality (AR) book entitled "The House of Baskerville" The story explores the elements of design through the personas of the Baskerville Family Members. From left-to-right are Val (Value), Skye (Space), Harry (Texture), Pauli (Shape), Linus [in background] (Line), Spectra [in foreground] (Colour) and Forma (Form). The book will be a stand-alone reader with access to premium, media-rich animations and music including voice and narration by Linda Ballantyne (Voice of Sailor Moon, The Wasp, WIcked and many other well-known animated characters). A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to support bursaries for design students in financial need.
