SAMPLE Self-portrait using Adobe Draw.
If drawing isn't your strongest suit you may wish to utilize photographic references as a means for guiding your illustration attempts. This can be very useful if you are trying to do quick gestural poses for use in storyboards. You can have a friend strike the appropriate pose, capture their photograph and then sketch over it then remove the original reference image.
I started with a "Selfie" on my iPad brought into the Photographic layer in Adobe Illustrator Draw (via the layers icon)
I then dimmed the photo reference and began rendering a base layer
I then added key details such as hi light and shadow then SAVED TO ILLUSTRATOR.. this opened the file directly inside my desktop version of Illustrator for further editing.
NOTE: You have to be signed in to your desktop computer with the same Adobe ID used on your Adobe mobile device Apps such as Adobe Draw, or Sketch. You also need to have the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application loaded in order for this to work. This can be found at https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/creative-cloud
The background image was refined in Adobe Illustrator to include blurred shadow detail and to simplify and reduce he number of drawing points used.
